DRY
STORAGE - Humidity Controlled & Maintenance Systems
By Eran Sela, VP Business Development, Mifram Ltd.
Save Maintenance Costs and Win the Battle Against
Mother Nature with MIFRAM’s Dry Storage Systems The
Mifram Dry Storage Building was designed to store both
military and commercial equipment and vehicles. The
system offers total protection against corrosion, equipment
degradation and moisture induced function failure radically
reducing maintenance by maintaining operational readiness.
Storage facilities are scalable to accommodate tanks,
APVS, mobile cannons, missiles, including associated
ammunitions, radar, optical, electronics and weapons.
Cost consideration The Mifram Dry Storage Building allows
for a direct reduction of requirements for skilled and
non-skilled personnel at a base-unit level resulting
in an average reduction of 60% less than regular maintenance.
Principles of The Dry Storage Concept The Shed is a
barrier to humidity (moisture) and dirt. The challenge
of removing humidity was accomplished by installing
custom designed dehumidifiers and average humidity levels
are kept below 35%RH. The lack of moisture, dust, and
dirt ensures that vehicles and equipment are removed
in the same condition as when they originally stored.
In addition, temperature is controlled using a sophisticated,
insulation system. |

MVB
- Modular Vehicle Barrier. By Eran Sela, VP Business Development, Mifram
Ltd.
top Ramming Cars Immediately Anywhere!! A suicide
bomber driving a ramming car is a familiar method of
operation in this age of global terrorism. Mifram Ltd.,
an Israeli homeland security solutions manufacturer,
has come up with an innovative concept, the Modular
Vehicle Barrier (MVB), which is lightweight, portable,
low maintenance and flexible in length. It shifts the
forward momentum of a vehicle either upwards or downwards
fully stopping a 2.5 ton vehicle traveling at a speed
of 46mph almost instantaneously. Effective on different
terrains, its separable unique L-shaped units lock themselves
on the vehicle's wheels rendering it immobile. It can
be assembled in less than 5 minutes without assembly
tools, and positioned anywhere ready for action. No
wonder then, that the US army's marine corp, for example,
found it to be the best solution for their security
needs. |

Securing the Guards life or have it flashing before them on a screen?
By Lorie Haviv, International Marketing Coordinator, Mifram Ltd.
Nowadays, more often than ever before, suicide bombers utilize their mobility to attack strategic targets and harmless civilians at all cost. Protecting against this type of physical threats is almost never casualty free.
Effective actions of security personnel may fend off an attack, yet tend to inflict most injuries on the devoted and skillfully trained personnel.

SUICIDE CAR BOMBINGS: DOES A SOLUTION EXIST?
By Eli Elkarif, Export Sales Manager, Mifram Ltd.
Suicide bombings, like other terrorist attacks are first and foremost aimed at spreading fear. But they are only able to spread fear by inflating their own image and propaganda utilizing local and international media coverage. Unfortunately suicide attacks are not a new phenomenon. Jewish Sicaris in the 1st century, Muslim Hashishiyun in the 11th century, and various Asian groups in the 18th century utilized suicide bombings.
